Action Research: Explorers of the Forest of Reading and Writing: A Hybrid Learning Model to Strengthen Motivation, Reading Comprehension, and Spanish Writing in Bilingual Elementary Classrooms.
Action research represents a journey of transformation, reflection, and continuous learning. It enables educators to reflect on their own practice, identify challenges, and design targeted changes that directly impact students’ learning. In the development of my project, Explorers of the Forest of Reading and Writing, this approach proved to be an essential tool for understanding how motivation, creativity, and bilingual literacy can coexist and grow together within a blended learning environment.
In this phase, I focused on the planning stage, where the foundation of the study was established through the definition of the topic, purpose, research question, and design. This process required both analytical thinking and imagination, analyzing how evidence could guide improvement while envisioning new possibilities for engagement and meaningful learning. This section presents the key elements of my action research plan, developed to evaluate and strengthen the impact of Explorers of the Forest of Reading and Writing as an innovative, reflective, and evidence-based model for bilingual education.
